Faith is an uncommon phenomenon in the world these days, because the people have become accustomed to verifying their status, their ideas, their feelings. They no longer trust themselves. When you have faith—first in yourself, and later in other things—your energy increases because you feel protected. For example, if you have faith that you’re going to overcome your economic problems, this will give you the energy to look for a way to generate resources, and you’ll end up ahead. When you don’t have faith, whatever obstacle that torpedoes your direction in life becomes enormous, and many times you fail.

Faith is very simple act: it’s the act of believing that the things are going to happen the way you think they will or the way you need them to. If you can’t believe in something you can’t have faith. If you can’t have faith, your life will become more complicated, because you need to revalidate yourself each and every day. Because you base your existence—your sense of self—in only what you know intellectually, not in what you believe. And this makes a huge difference.
